Today, July27, is the anniversary of the Battle at Burnt Corn Creek.  Cade Kincaid in my first novel, Swimming with Serpents, is modeled on the real life James Smith who was injured during this battle. Swimming with Serpents is the prequel to In Pursuit. This is the 200th anniversary of that event.
