Your words are beautiful. Thank you for your service and good luck in all that you do. I spent 16 years as a military brat and I have an appreciation for all our service members do. I still get chills when I see the colors fly and feel my heart flip when I hear taps play. I myself was not able to serve due to medical issues, but live with the memories of the way I was raised. They are the core of who I am, the foundation so to speak. Again good luck!

You know how much I admire all the disparate plates you keep spinning so well, and yay on being all mommy all the tine! But most of all, although I know you'll shrug it off, thank you, your husband, and your daughters for all your service and sacrifice for our country. And what Jeni said, about her military life experiences having formed the core of who she is? I read your strength and honesty in all your characters. Oh, btw, we were sitting at a Farmers Market fundraiser dinner Saturday night with a husband and wife who both are stationed at nearby Lewis McChord and I was telling them about you. The wife (who's pregnant for the first tine), said that she was always happy to get off base, but was proud when little girls saw her in uniform and were excited because they hadn't known girls could be soldiers. So, I realized how you were also a role model in yet another way. I'm so glad to have "met" you back when you were blogging from Iraq. :)
