WHAT MAKES MG AND YA LIT? CELEBRATION--EVEN OF THE PAIN

THE VILLAGE SANG TO THE SEA is being reviewed as young adult fiction and even middle-grade fiction as well as adult (no one seems quite sure what it is)--but that's as it should be! It's a celebration, after all, of the wonder of middle-grade and teenage years--their magic and how important it is not to forget that magic no matter where life and time take us and even if those years were painful.
