There didn’t appear to be anyone at the
dock to meet her. She sighed as she watched the ferry pull away, leaving her
alone on the dock. Roni turned around surveying her surroundings, blue sky,
turquoise water, white sand, lush vegetation, and quiet. The stillness and the
quiet were what struck her the most, not a horn to be heard, no busy city noise.
A few people were roaming around on the dock. She saw a man standing on one of
the yachts, heard a hammering sound in the distance. Roni took a deep breath, yeah, a far cry from New York. A woman
in a red T-shirt and shorts was making her way towards her at a fast pace; Roni
waited.
“You must be Roni,” she called when she got in
range.
