RWA Wrap Up

 

Best speech:

Tie between Cathy Maxwell and Kristan Higgins. Cried my eyes out during both.

Best workshop:

Since I only went to one workshop, Robyn Carr, Jill Shalvis and Kristan Higgins talking about how they write, it’s a bit of a cheat to say it was my favorite, but it was truly a great workshop and I hope the audience was paying attention.

Everyone else was buzzing about the self-publishing tracks.

I heard great things about Colleen Thompson’s Adrenaline Shots workshop and wish I could have gone.

Best Dinner:

Again, a tie between meeting up with my Duets homeys (we all used to write for Duets), Nancy Warren, Delores Fossen, Cindi Myers and Bonnie Tucker. I love you guys! We ate an intimate Italian restaurant near the hotel because it was raining outside. I had my favorite, caprese salad. Yum!

and

Dinner at the Pacific Rim, with Christie Craig (our first books came out the same year), Susan Mueller and Diane Kelly. I had the dumplings. When I’m at a Chinese restaurant, I always have dumplings. They’re my favorite.

 

 

I’m still on the road. Hubby is giving me the evil eye to get off the computer and get back in the truck. Will give more updates later.
