let's write together

I am 10 weeks into teaching my first online writing course “Poems that Don’t Suck" and am getting verklempt reading some of my student’s final poems. I feel blessed to be a witness and a guide in their growth since before class began. I was super nervous about teaching a class for more than just a two hour workshop. There were some students who dropped the class (mostly I think they were not expecting the demands of an intensive writing class) but the ones who stayed and put all of themselves into it have grown like forest fires. I am so excited to see their names pop up in literary journals in the coming years.

That being said, I am going to make some adjustments to “Poems That Don’t Suck" based on suggestions from students/what I noticed as an instructor, and teach the course again to a fresh batch of writers! Many of you have expressed interest. Maybe you are involved in a writing/poetry scene and know some writers who would benefit from an intensive writing and reading course. If you are interested or know someone who might be, please pass this along! Class will start Monday, August 19th and I’ll be accepting applications until August 5th. MeganFalley@gmail.com
