Tandy’s nickname for Moira (sugarplum) comes from Moira’s obsession with The Nutcracker, which she saw when she was a kid.Speaking of Tandy, it’s possible that she’s some sort of supernatural critter, too, and I might even write her a story.Kiernan is loosely based on Louis de Pon du Lac from Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. Even though I adore Lestat (and he will always own a piece of my heart), I have a soft spot for Louis….Moira’s work in studying addiction is a direct result of being raised by drug dealers.Willem is actually my favorite character (I know, I know). I love feral vamps, the creepy ones like in 30 Days of Night and also Russell Edgington from True Blood. Really, good ol’ Russell was the inspiration for my baddy vamp. Mythology and folklore helped me make him more real.
Vampire Kiernan Shaw has never forgotten the night twenty years ago when he’d been forced to stand by while another vampire killed a six-year-old girl’s parents in front of her.
