Got questions about the Vampire Academy movie? I've got answers! Maybe.
The Weinstein Company, one of the movie's distributors, is offering all fans (no geographic boundaries) the chance to ask me questions about the VA movie! Through next week, they'll be collecting fan questions and then choosing fifteen of them for me to answer on July 22. Hope they're not too tough for me! If you'd like the chance to post a question or two or three, there are a few places you can do it.

Just post your question in the comments! Note: if you post anonymously, the question will be invisible until I get a chance to go through and mark it as not-spam. So, I can't guarantee the Weinstein Company will see it in time. That means if you don't have an LJ account, try one of the other options.
2. Facebook
You can post your question to my Official Facebook page. As of the writing of this blog entry, the post asking for questions is near the top of my FB page. If you don't see it, scroll down until you find the entry mentioning the Weinstein Company's Q&A.
3. Twitter
You can post your question on Twitter! Post it to @OfficialVAMovie and tag it #vampireacademy. No need to send it to me on Twitter. I'm not choosing them, and it'll cost you valuable characters. :)
In other movie news, I can tell you that last I heard, this is the last week of filming. I haven't got 100% confirmation on that, but if you follow the actors on Twitter, you'll know that a bunch of them are wrapping up. Crazy. This, of course, brings up the next big question: when can we see teasers or trailers? All I can advise is patience (which isn't easy for me either!). There haven't been trailers while they're filming, so our odds are definitely better once they have all the footage! Even then, it takes time to edit together really good scenes. Keep in mind that they do about ten takes of each scene. That's a lot to go through. We'll probably see some stills before then, but again, I don't have dates. About the only thing I can say with some certainty is you'll get prop pictures at least once a week...so expect another this week!

As the author of the books, are you satisfied with the story line of the movie? Will it follow the first book?

I already posted this on Facebook, but hey I will do it here too. I was wondering if the movie will show the connection that Rose and Lissa have, because you can tell it is very powerful bond that they share just by reading the first two pages. So will they show the feeding, and how rose had to take care of Lissa in the movie?
When is the movie going to come out to the theatres??
My friend and I are big fans of Vampire Academy, and we're very excited for the movie, kind of. We're afraid it's not going to follow the book. We wanted to know if it was going to follow it, and we wanted to know about the cast. Are they going to be famous people or actors/actresses that are new to the acting business?
Why do you have a thing for guys with ponytails?! Lol... Dimitri from The Vampire Academy, and Porfirio from Gameboard of the Gods. Btw your like my idol.
Do the actors and actresses fit the descriptions of the characters in the book looks wise and also the way the act out the characters personality?
There are some questions. I don't know what to ask first!!! Will Christian be a snarky and loner-ish in the movie? How will the Strigoi be portrayed?Thank You for anwsering
I know movies are NEVER 100% like the book but are you happy with how everything's coming along? (The snazzy movie prop pictures are great and I cant believe how dedicated the prop team is! :D )The actors seem like very nice, sweet, and dedicated people! Are they anything their characters?
And are you SUPER DUPER excited for everyone to see it on February 14th?! Because I can't wait!!! :D

How did you feel when they told you they wanted to make a movie? Did you plan it all along, that you wanted it to be put on screen?

Are you happy with how the film director/producer/writer is planning on visually portraying Rose and Lissa's 'bond' /connection? Have they been using the books as a guide to portray it in depth?
Are you satisfied with the portrayal of the characters, as in Vampire Academy we learn about the characters sometimes through Rose's thoughts and feelings and so how exactly will this be shown to avoid confusion and misunderstanding?

Obviously the movie will differ greatly from the book, that always happens! I would love to hear your perspective of these changes. Do the actors and the script do us justice? Are they believable?
How do they plan to set out the movie?Entirely the first book, or a slight mix of the first and second book, or a little preview thing at the end of the movie that leads into the second movie? or maybe a little crossover type thing...

My biggest question is, how closely is the movie going to follow the book? Obviously there will be differences, it can't be easy going from page to screen but still how different? Are we talking Lord of the Rings accurate or Eragon disaster?
How many changes have been made from the book to the movie? Lots? Not too many? What are the changes that occurred?
Is the cast doing their own stunts for the most part?

Do you have any idea when a trailer might come out? The poster is great. (IMDb is a great web sight to check out movies and information on cast members) Vampire Academy is on my watch list and I hope it and it's sequels will be for a while to come.
