One of the dogs Ruff Starts**** yanked from a kill-shelter looks a lot like the original dog in my story--the one in the photo prompt--and she's in the same condition. (Poor thing, pregnant in summer.)

thanks!! Last year I made $200 for AIDS/lifecyle with Goodbye Phillip but that story did better, probably because it has some actual relationship romance-y stuff in it.

Chloe had to be transported to the ER vet last night with a temp of 105.2 when she arrived. She was given IV fluids and calcium and was released after she improved. This morning Chloe's temp spiked again and is now staying overnight at the ER vet. She is receiving IV fluids and antibiotics for an infected mammary gland. Chloe's babies are with her and she continues to nurse. Chloe's medical costs are mounting and we could use donations to help cover costs.
