In an interview on Movieline, 1980s wunderkind Bret Easton Ellis (AMERICAN PSYCHO, BRIGHT LIGHTS BIG CITY, LESS THAN ZERO), while talking about the movie adaptation of AMERICAN PSYCHO, delivered himself of this butt nugget with regard to female directors:

BEE: We're watching, and we're aroused by looking, whereas I don't think women respond that way to films, just because of...
