Sequel to Jane Eyre: Themes: Impact of sexual abuse legacy; patriarchy; marriage; colonial heritage;

Dear all. Take a look at my page. Have a look at the video for my book which gives you an overview of the historical aspects of my work.

Please look me up on Amazon, or with Barnes and Noble.

My work is a tentative sequel to Jane Eyre. It follows on from Charlotte Bronte's (can't find the umlaut), themes of patriarchy, marriage and abuse; and tries to imagine things from Bertha's perspective.

After reading Wide Sargasso Sea and other books which look at colonial heritage and patriarchy issues, I was inspired to write it.

I also became interested in The History of the English language, and accents and dialect, which is why I am playful in the first chapter, and the way a certain RP accent was perpetuated at a period in history. I wanted to make a record of the dying out of that accent too.

I hope you like my work, and you might want to put a review up if you do.

All the best,

Hermione
