What next?
I have to admit that I always have a list of ideas I carry around in my head about some feature of a story I want to tell, but this time is different. I have started writing a 3rd novel in the Valens series and suddenly this little fairy popped up and is insisting I share her story with you instead, or at the same time. Now she is a part of the tale of the Valens. She is the sister of the Sorcerer King of the Fae and she has run away from home. King Aidan wants to bring her home but cannot admit she left without his permission and so he can't exactly send someone after her. Enter Jemma who owes him a big favor for having assisted her by getting the Fae Council to support the Legacy position the Humani created by Cerberus are unnatural abominations against nature, though what that means is a story for another day.
The dilemma. So do I tell the sixteen year old Princess Elyna's story in a novella and then complete the next novel - or do I close my ears to her teenage angst (she's pretty demanding), delay her meeting with the stunningly handsome police officer who may be her destiny and tell the story of Valens Ruse? OR---Do I give in and see what she has to tell us before we dive into the Ruse of some Valen we've been introduced to and find out what that tale has to say?
I've notice you don't seem to like to comment, maybe the venue is to public and you are shy. So if you have an opinion, send it to me at my email sherrel@sherrellee.com and let me know what you think. In the mean time remember to get your copy of Valens Remembered at Amazon and tell you friends to pick up their copy as well.
Finally, watch for the new covers coming for Valens Rise and Valens Revenge, I can't wait to see them.
