Peter Prasad I'm researching Miwok Indians for the next book in the Sonoma Knight series. I like the observation: We native Americans tend to worship anything that we cannot create. Creation at that level belongs to the gods.

For direct experience of this sentiment, take off your shoes and walk barefoot outside or in a redwood forest.
