Finding Authors

I have a question for readers . . . how do you find out about an author’s newest release?  How do you keep track of when the latest is available?

Do you depend on Facebook or Twitter?  Do you join author newsletters?  Goodreads?  Romantic Times Magazine

This inquiring author wants to know so let’s discuss!

Patty Porter Facebook,Twitter, Author's new letters... I also put them on my wish list on Amazon. I have a list for books that haven't been released. I usually know when my favorite authors books are released though.

message 2: by Carrie (new)

Carrie Facebook, author newsletters, Goodreads, Writerspace News, and Fresh Fiction. I have also started adding upcoming releases on my Amazon wishlist. I believe I rely on Facebook the most because authors promote each others releases so I get plenty of reminders/notifications.

Cassie Facebook, author newsletters, Goodreads. I do search my favorite authors websites for upcoming releases and add them to my goodreads or calendar.

Definitely through Facebook, Twitter, and Goodreads. I rarely sign-up for newsletters. :)

Shawn Newsletters and a site called fantastic fiction.

Jennifer I look at an Author's website/newsletter. But Facebook/Twitter is what really keeps me updated of when a new book is about to come out! Love to see posts about a new release show up on the Facebook news feed!! As soon as I hear one of my favorite authors has a new one coming out I pre-order the book on iBooks (if I can) too- too bad Apple doesn't have a "Wish List" function for their books!

Danielle Bender Goodreads alerted me when a book became available since it was on my "to read" list.

Wanda TY Shawn for sharing the fantastic fiction site. It's pretty cool. I rely on Amazon a lot but it has steered me wrong a few times. I do B&N and Christianbook.com too, some on Facebook. I find it hard to keep up with all the tweets. Sheesh!

Shawn Wanda, I have found a lot of authors by using the bottom of whatever author I am looking up. It says if you like this author you will like these and gives a list of authors.

Wanda Thank you, Shawn. I'll try that. :)
