That is not love.  That is egotistical, selfish bullshit.  I reject this belief, as it posits that God is a supreme asshole.

Substitute “Mom" or “Husband" or “My best friend" instead of God and ask yourself how much you’d like that person.

This is one of the smaller reasons I dislike weak-minded people.  When they apply their personal emotional problems to their beloved supreme being, to their Higher Power, it paints a portrait of a Creator nobody would ever love.
