GI JOE: Battleground Card Art!

FINALLY! I can finally show artwork I've been doing on a project this last year. I'll post a few of these at a time, but I've had a blast working on the new GI JOE iphone/ipad game.

It's basically a role playing game, where you build a team and go on missions. Kind of like game pieces on a board you move along a playing field and either pick up items, or battle an opposing force.

For me the best part of the game is the art. (and not just because I worked on it, ;) It's really top notch in all aspects. I have mostly just drawn out the characters in pencil, then the production company hires artists to ink and/or digitally paint over the artwork I've done. So at times the card art looks like comic book art, and other times it's a full digital painting of the GI JOE and Cobra characters.

There are a lot of small animations, and loads of bio info on characters all throughout as well. My son Connor and I have had a great time playing the game today.
