of elves and dwarves and orcs

I’ve been writing fantasy novels for thirteen years now, and for the first time, I’m writing a novel that has elves and orcs and dwarves.

I always wanted to write a novel with elves and orcs and dwarves, but back when I started writing, there were only traditional publishers and agents, and all their guidelines said “no fantasy with elves and orcs and dwarves.” So I never wrote anything with elves and orcs and dwarves.

But! Now I can write whatever I want, and now I get to write a novel with elves and orcs and dwarves. Though I like to think I will put my own unique spin on it.
