Although I like the tv show. Books are always better (except one or two famous ones: GWTW, Dr Zhivago) because film of any nature is shorthand. Books delve into character and motives. I think Robert Taylor is a good visual link to the book character, and while it's New Mexico and NOT Wyoming, it's clearly the West and not California, and that I do appreciate.
