Homespun Poems: Explainations
Homespun Poems- These poems are of the area where I live. They are of people, places, things, incidences, etc.
People- This section begins with two poems about my grandparents. First about them teaching me card games the second is about reminiscing of them.
Second set of poetry of this section is of a vocalist in the area. Two poems: first of her being my second favorite vocalist and a concert I experienced where she sang with 3 other female vocalists in the area. The second started out me writing about audiences this part of history of jazz will applaud during the performance while the musicians jam. During this time another musician has started their solo and they are missing the first few notes [8-12 seconds]. When I listen to the early jazz [40s, 50s and early 60s] the audience wait until the end to applaud. So I took a genre like opera and explain why anyone can’t disrespect them in the middle of the performance. I decide to find a reason for me to leave a performance. Until I realize she is a classical/operatic vocalist, which means I would be disrespecting her. I did not to do that in case I would not get to experience her performance again. I would probably would be kicked out because upset with the poem. It eventually ended up a humorous poem instead of a serious poem.
