Enter to win a copy of The Prodigal

Right on the heels of the news that The Prodigal made All Romance eBooks' bestseller list, you can now enter to win a copy at Stumbling Over Chaos.

Be sure to check out the Linkety, Misadventures in Stock Photography, and the pictures of the lovely Mayhem and wily Chaos while you're there.

A side story to The Angel of 13th Street.

Sauntering to a john’s car is a far cry from hauling hay back on the farm, and none of the married men or rancid losers who hire him come close to the love Mark left behind. His father’s angry words still ring in his ears a year after Dad caught Mark kissing Eric. “Get out of my house and don’t come back!” doesn’t leave a guy a lot of choices.

Mark’s lost all he held dear, but the man known as The Angel believes there’s hope. More than anything, Mark wants to go home—but can a runaway rent boy ever truly go home again?

Ah same old same old here. New job a few months ago is seriously cutting into my reading time :( BOO! But I'm looking forward to at least taking the long weekend for GRL in the fall. How about you my dear?

message 4: by Eden (new)

Eden Winters Congrats on new job, but sorry about the reading time.

Same old here too. Corruption, the third Diversion book, is in the beta process, then it's on the the fourth book, Manipulation.

I can't wait to see you at GRL! I get to drive there this year.

Oh nice! I was in a really bad place personally last year at GRL so I'm looking to be in a much better place this year :D I've already booked my hotel and flight :) When will Corruption be published?? I love Lucky ;)

message 6: by Eden (new)

Eden Winters Yeah, GRL was a bad time for me too. I had sleep issues, and began writing a song for Spirit Day a few minutes before landing, and became obsessed with it. I still need to find a musician help me get the notes down, but I have the words and melody.

Hee. Lucky is hard to love, but I'm glad you do. I'm not sure of a publish date, but I'm hoping for around October/November.

message 7: by Chris (new)

Chris I'm going to have to experience GRL vicariously this year. I'll miss seeing both of you!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! I'm so sorry you won't be there :( Will DEFINITELY miss you! 2014 is supposed to be the Midwest someplace so hopefully you will be there.

I love the anti-heroes and I think Lucky is a brilliant characterization. I will read about him any time/any place :)

message 10: by Eden (new)

Eden Winters Yeah, Chris. I'm so sorry you won't be there. Maybe we'll all see each other next year. I definitely owe you a drink or two.

Thanks, Sadonna.

Oh, I hadn't heard about next year's location! Intriguing...

I bought a new condo (moved in today) and now need to update and sell my old condo. Suddenly no spare time or money this year...

I get that. I need to get my ass in gear and get this FAR too big house ready to sell when the market improves a bit. Well good luck with selling your old place. How are the cats adjusting ;) When I moved into this house I had a cat that hid in the dropped ceiling of the basement for three days!

I'm sad, too. But also happy, because this place is soooo much nicer.

First Chaos wandered around meowing and staying close to me. Now he's sleeping/hiding in the cat tree.

First Mayhem wouldn't leave her carrier. Now I have no idea where she's hiding.

Eden Winters Poor confused kitties. Hopefully they'll come around soon.

Chris Eden wrote: "Poor confused kitties. Hopefully they'll come around soon."

Yeah... And also eat and drink and use their boxes. You know Chaos is stressed when he doesn't eat!

message 17: by Eden (new)

Eden Winters Poor Chaos. Has May come around yet?

message 18: by Chris (new)

Chris They both slept with me last night. May explored a little earlier, with me talking to her and petting her the entire time.

Now if I could only find the toaster (broiled toast is fine, if more fiddly, at least) and the basket for the espresso maker (coffee shop only 3.5 blocks away, fortunately).

A coffee shop close by is a must! Glad the kitties seem to be adjusting :)

message 20: by Chris (new)

Chris Everything is close by. :)

message 21: by Eden (new)

Eden Winters Whoot! Cool! I live in the middle of nowhere, yet have two Italian restaurants within two miles of me. Of course, they're the only restaurants near me, and why we need two I'll never know, but they both stay busy. There were rumors of a coffee shop opening nearby. Watch it happen after I move.

message 22: by Chris (new)

Chris Of course it'll happen after you move... Things I can walk to: 4 Thai restaurants (my favorite delivers by bicycle), 2 movie theaters, a library, 3 grocery stores and a food co-op, 10+ coffee shops, 20+ non-Thai restaurants, assorted bars and liquor stores, 3 lakes with walking paths, etc.

message 23: by Eden (new)

Eden Winters Man, that sounds awesome. I'll still be living in the country.

message 24: by Sadonna (new)

Sadonna I don't live in the country but I can't really walk to very much from my house. I can bike lots of places but only for a few months out of the year. I would love to move to the city if I could ditch this house and find sometimes reasonable but the chances of that happening any time soon are slim and none and slim just left town :(
