Whoa! You are way nicer than I could ever be when it comes to my dog. If anyone had ever tried to take him - no matter who! - I would not have been nearly so civil. Just to give you an idea...a police officer stopped once to admire my Ben and asked if I might consider donating him to the police force. What an idiot! I would sooner have given him one of my kids! Just joking. :-) Needless to say, my response to him let him know, in no uncertain terms, that there was no way in **** that I'd consider something so STUPID! My Ben died of cancer a couple of years ago and I miss him every day. He was my best friend, my bodyguard, my favorite goofy child. I hope you get your dogs back. They are important.

We've looked at all the houses close by. Of course, someone could be hiding him and not telling the truth. The thing is, if he went FAR, we wouldn't know where to look because we live way out in the country, not in a neighborhood. And someone could innocently think he's a stray because someone took his collar or at least threw it somewhere we can't find it. We don't know where else to look. I put a message on FB on my personal page, and no one there has seen him. I'm just glad my older dog came back. We've had him for 13 years. No one would have kept him. He's old and he's going through that stage where he's losing his summer fur, so he looks pretty rough. But Duke is adorable, young, and feisty.
