Sleep: What is sleep? Insomnia
Sleep is something that I have been lacking for about a year. Thinking back in time who knew our teenage years would be the best sleep that we would get in our lifetime. I also remember when I was pregnant and the peaceful sleep during pregnancy. I definitely know what sleep is and taking naps are wonderful but a nap is not what I am pertaining to when I use the word sleep deprived. For example it is 3:22 a.m. and I am blogging to you while my family is sleeping. A thought just popped into my head. This is the perfect time to blog about the word sleep because if you are reading this why are you not sleeping. This phase of my life could be related to pre MP and/or it could also be related to a lack of mommy me time while raising young children. On the note of MP there should be a hip word for menopause because I think the technical term is very unappealing. Now if you are a guy and just said oh boy this isn’t something I want to read. Well I want to inform you of a secret it happens to the best of us and this may include loved ones in your life-like your wife and/or a friend. I have heard many terrible things about MP that I would rather not know but the fact is it is a normal part of life. Can you imagine having to go through something and the only way to find out about your symptoms is to research it on the internet, talk to your doctor and/or read a book. Yes in modern medicine you can go to a doctor and take a test to find out but the true fact is that I don’t really want to know for sure. It’s funny when I talk to my friends and they tell me that they think they have the same symptoms as I do while we laugh off our own self diagnosis. Anyway back to the topic of sleep deprived. I can even feel my eyes moving under my eyelids as I sleep. While sleeping many thoughts are racing around inside my brain and the light switch won’t turn off. It can be painful for those that have sleep problems because when we wake up our eyes can feel very tired and often as time goes by headaches start to appear especially in the morning and/or in the middle of the night. I have decided to take a new outlook on my problem called insomnia. It’s easy to give into a problem but I am one that like’s to take on life’s challenges. My mindset right now is that sleep must be for the weak because it has been more than a week since I have really had good sleep. Thanks for taking the time to read about a moment in my life. When I run across things that help me I will be sure to share. Sharing my positive outlook. Goodnight. Love, B.B.
