Five Years On...

Hello all,

(I've been debating about writing this post, unsure if people will take it the wrong way, but here goes anyway.)

Fast forward to today and, in some ways, nothing has changed. I still love writing. I still have more stories in mind than I have the time/e...

*Bohemian* Good for you! Good for me and your other readers!

I think it is easy relate to your dilemma of multiple editing voices and keeping your personal writing style. For what it is worth, IMO you have one of the strongest and unique style that shines through in each story I have read no matter the publishing house.

Julio Genao Kick-ass. Trying to please so many different people would drive me insane. Best of luck on your new work :-)

Thanks Manda, that's great to hear. Sometimes with all the different directions things get pulled in, you end up doubting everything.

Yes! I'm hoping it will work out to be a good thing for everyone :)

Kim Dare Thanks Julio-Alexi. It's certainly an interesting experience.

So far the new story is going great. Well, I'm enjoying it anyway, not too sure about the characters at this point, lol.

Julio Genao The engine of every story, near-enough, innit. The characters. Takes me f o r e v e r to figure out who's got knives-out for whom and what-for and how long it'll take before that blows up in their faces.

So to speak.

Well, *touch wood* the characters are doing what they should at the moment, they're just a bit frustrated... About to become a lot frustrated by the end of the scene :)

Thanks Con. If I can, I'll try to blog my way through the process. It should be interesting.

I think it can help a lot if you have a consistent editor / house style, but even then it can be a challenge.

I am having fun, thank you :)

It's a bit like the duck analogy, you try to look serene, but paddle like hell beneath the surface, lol.
