My New Short Story


My latest short story, The Ladyboy Lover, is set in Thailand, a country I am very familiar with.  I have written several short stories set in the Land of Smiles.  At one point I called the series 'erotic' but in fact there is very little in the way of sex in the tales.  Now I tend to call them 'Stephen Leather short stories'.


The Ladyboy Lover is about a guy who falls in love with a ladyboy - or katoey as they're called in Thailand.  All goes well until he decides that what he needs to make the perfect family is a baby.

Joe Writeson Whoooooaaaa twilight zone cue the duh duh duhduh music......I lived and worked in Thailand for a long time and have written several stories based there, and, as with yours, no actual sex content...nor are they of the variety 'got this gorgeous girl back to my hotel room and it turned out to be a bloke' .......my most recent is a true encounter with a guy of confused gender from the UK who settled in Thailand because there, he was accepted as he was...he was making his living on the Bangkok/Pattaya/Phuket entertainment circuit as a Sade impersonator, hence the title 'Smooth Operator'.....we ended up good friends.

I know you are a busy busy man and must get hundreds of requests like this .....but I would love if you could have a look at it.....you might even get a wry grin out of it as well.
