Top 10 Things To Do in Korea: Part 2!

Cloudy with a chance of frogs

What??? Three blog posts in three weeks? I’ve broken the universe. I strongly suggest that you read this before it starts raining frogs.

Now, where was I? Ah yes, Rebel Punctuation Marks. If you’re staring at the computer screen and scratching your head, you probably missed my last post. Go ahead, read it. You know you want to.

For the rest of you who are already up to speed, let’s get right to the second part of…

The Top Ten Things To Do in…

KOREA!

#5: Go to France

“Petite France,” that is.

This place answers the age old question: “What do you do if you are obscenely rich and are in love with the French countryside?”

Answer: Build France in your backyard, of course. (And charge admission.)

#6: Be brave and have lunch

Snails?

Unidentified Flat Objects?

Tentacles and tidbits?

Too exotic for your stomach? Don’t worry. I’ve got you covered.

“Good Smell. Good Curry.”  Ahhh…I love the scent of a good tagline in the morning ;-)

But some things speak for themselves. Best. Chicken. Ever.

Galbijjim, Gangnam Style. (No, seriously. The restaurant was in Gangnam.)

Just when you thought a hot dog on a stick couldn’t get any better…

#7: Pretend You’re in A Korean TV Series

Nami Island (For all you Korean TV fans out there, you’ll know that this is where they shot “Winter Sonata.”)

Standard Cheesy Shot. The tour guide made me do it. I swear. Punishment for not watching a single episode of Winter Sonata.

#8: Learn New Words

Word of the day: “Beblesh”                                                                  Definition: “Word you invent when you can’t use “Blemish” because your competition copyrighted it. (Methinks writing would go a lot faster if I was allowed to do this for my second book…)

#9: Climb

People climb Namsan Tower for two reasons…

…to see this view

…and to make the guy who owns the padlock shop at the bottom of the tower rich ;-)

Yes, the hubby and I sat on the “love chair.” No, I will not post a photo.

#10: Stand still

Lost and Found: Cheonggyecheon Stream. Luckily, you don’t have to pronounce its name to be able to appreciate it. The stream was buried beneath a highway for three decades before the city decided to renew it as an urban park.

It’s the perfect spot to…

sit back…

relax…

and wonder, “Did I get enough photos for the blog???” ;-)

Until the next detour,

Sam
