Another interesting (or not) fact!

I'm very musical. A lot of people don't know this about me, but I can play a few things. And sing.

I've played the harp for 23 years. Yes, that huge instrument with all the strings. :) My hubby is my designated harp mover when I play different places. (He was dubbed that when we got married. My dad was ecstatic!) I play for weddings, receptions, parties, church. I've played at a few funerals, in a few nursing homes, school assemblies and I've even played in a hospital NICU. That was awesome. The babies were so calm. Not one of the monitors went off in the hour I played. When I stopped, the monitors started again. It was really amazing.

I played the flute in 7th grade. I can still play a solo I had to memorize for an assembly all those years ago.

I play the piano as well. Mostly stuff I like to make up, but if you put music in front of me I can sight read like a boss. I can't play hymns though. My short fingers don't stretch that far. :)

I love to sing. If anything is on the radio I always make up my own part to sing with it. Alto is my favorite part to sing. It's more challenging and fun for me to learn. I've been singing duets with my sister since we were 5 and 3. We've sang many places. Probably the same as where I've played my harp. (Minus the weddings and receptions.) Mostly church functions. :) My youngest sister sings with us now, so we are a trio. My mom plays the piano when we sing and we've had many memories of us sisters laughing our heads off trying to learn a song and my mom getting frustrated and threatening to walk out of the room. We'd always look over and see her shoulders shaking while she laughed quietly at the piano.

Good times.
