Who is Joan Conning Afman?

I am a former art teacher–K-12 in Hartford, CT; retired to Florida and taught for 7 years as an adjunct at Northwood University in West Palm. I could have gone either way–journalism or art, but I fell in love with art at an early age (when I used to skip Girl Scouts and visit the museum across the street!), so that was my career choice.
