The difference here in contrast is Queen Elizabeth II who instils in her family the idea of duty and service to the people. In Game of Thrones(both books & TV)Cersei teaches her kids only self service with no moral compass.
I wont say too much, but the Red Wedding truly upset me-I had such a bad night after watching it...Especially how it began is not in the books! And as for Theon, I can't watch it..I find the scenes too disturbing & close my eyes until their scenes are over.
I'm glad the finale ended on a note of hope. I don't think I could take much more sadness...Although I hope that Arya maintains her humanity.
I know you're busy Sharon, so I don't expect a reply. I just wanted to vent lol. I love Game of Thrones but at times it is gut wrenching.

As for Game of Thrones - I'd mentioned in a comment way back that I haven't seen season 3 & was avoiding spoilers. Well, I was at a conference the first week of June and the hotel had HBO, which I discovered when flipping past channels. I unwittingly landed on Game of Thrones during the Red Wedding episode just as Catelyn is looking around the banquet room suspiciously and then, the doors close... you know the rest and now, so do I. Whoa.
Thanks for the pointers to the articles. Did you see the one in The Onion?
