Wondering...

I've always wondered if great stories like Harry Potter, The Lux series, or the Iron Fey series, -with awesome plots- were already planned out before being written, or the plot just sorta came to to the writter along the way. Me, I stick with the "Oh, I want to write a book about people with powers, the rest I'll figure out later" way.
