She let out a deep breath and her gaze rested on the calendar which was on her desk. This was the most reckless thing she'd ever done in her life. Christmas was ten days away. The season embodied hope, generosity, and giving, and yet her heart ached at the thought of losing Drake. She didn't want him to leave. God, this was one of the scariest decisions she'd ever made – to let him into the most intimate, private place of her life.

"Are you sure?" he asked.

Her hazel eyes met his Nordic blue ones. "Yes."

His mouth curved with tenderness and he offered Lily his hand.
