A new kind of community is coming

They say all good things must come to an end. If you use the “old” message boards at all you’ve noticed by now  that they are no longer open. Because the vast majority of our community has transitioned to Facebook and other social networks, we ‘ve decided it’s time to bid the message boards a final, but fond farewell.

It was a difficult decision, especially since the boards have been around since 2004, but it’s a practical choice we needed to make. A new version of Teddekker.com will be coming in the next few months with a renewed focus on community that’s right here and not just on social networks. So, never fear, a new kind of community is coming. However, it won’t be the traditional forum structure.

If you’ve used the message boards over the past few years, thank you for making it what it was. There have been nearly 2,000,000 posts since its inception–all you. Change is hard, we know, but as the Dekker tribe changes with the times we feel an obligation to meet everyone where they’re at as well as we can.
