Monday Mentions: Tornadoes, Ebooks & Tasmanian Devils

Seymour TX , 10 April 1979, looking NW. This tornado was rated F2 by NSSL survey teams. The next tornado from this supercell was even larger and would devastate Wichita Falls within an hour. (Photo courtesy NSSL)

Do y’all remember the old Bugs Bunny cartoons that included the Tasmanian Devil that moved around in a tornado of energy? Honestly, I’ll take the critter–and there’s some video of baby Taz’s below–compared to the real funnel cloud. Here in N. Texas we’re all still reeling from the devastation in nearby Oklahoma and folks will continue to need help for some time. I provided quite a few links to info here. Bad weather is enough to prompt gray hair, but you can help–and stay safe, too. Today’s blog has some more info I hope you’ll share.

MEMORIAL DAY…

Today I’ll be singing America, The Beautiful and The Star Spangled Banner at an event honoring our Veterans. I hope that I can get through without choking up. God bless our troops and our country. That is all.

EBOOK WEBINAR!

Writing your first book is another hair-pulling experience but it doesn’t have to be. The “Ebooks for Bloggers” session I presented last week at BlogPaws was great fun but I only had about 20 minutes for the (usually) 90-minute session. *sigh*

Check out the full presentation via Webinar THIS SATURDAY JUNE 1st from 2-4:00 Eastern Time (recorded version available, too) . . . you can wear your bunny slippers, I won’t tell! Oh, use the code BLOGPAWS at checkout to get half price and share that with other interested folks. Here’s the direct link to the Webinar Ebooks for Writers.

Oh, and here’s a link to future Webinar courses on other writerly subjects like media training, niche writing and more. Please share with anyone interested!

Monday Mentions is the mash-up-day of all the neato-torpedo writer links and videos, pet schtuff and bling and writer-icity crappiocca collected over the past week. Check out the SQUEEE! cute pet-astic videos at the bottom, too. For new followers to the blog, welcome! and you can expect more cat and dog specific schtuff later in the week on Wednesday and Friday.
