Mateo's Song

This is a song from a highly overlooked band called Ours. From what I've read it was written after the singer, Jimmy Gnecco's girlfriend committed suicide. In any case, it's a powerful song and I think it also suits the story of one of my vampires Mateo, who must take on the weight of a great deal over the course of his life. Some of that weight comes from events he can't control though he dearly wishes he could. We first learn about Mateo in ELBF and the past that comes to damage him also affects other characters in that novel. In Cool Green Waters the second novel in Broken Edges we will learn more about him and the darkness that has overtaken his life since that fateful night.
