I just released Keeper of the Wolves about an hour ago. This is a book that is very close to my heart. It's taken about a year for this one to finally reach a place where I felt like it was ready for publishing. For those of you that know my writing style, that is a long time!
Victus' story appealed to me from the very beginning. I first began thinking of a backwards werewolf story while I was writing the Silver Series. Writing about urban werewolves is always fun and I constantly search for a fresh point of view, but the idea of a wolf who turns into a human with the confusion of human thoughts and feelings just didn't fit the Silver Series' storyline. Eventually, with a cage, a whip, and compassionate blue eyes, the story took off almost faster than I could write it. Victus and Koya face both the controversy of their forbidden love, as well as the dangers Koya's noble birth and uncertain claim to the throne bring with it.
The loyalty of a wolf and the love that goes along with it has long inspired me. I hope that Victus' story captures your heart and gives you another adventure worth reading. Enjoy!
