Tao Te Ching 16: Return to the Source

If you can empty your mind of all thoughts,

your heart will know the tranquility of peace.

Watch the endless rush of worldly beings,

yet contemplate their return to the Source.

Each being in the universe

returns to the common Source.

To return to the Source is to find peace.

To find peace is to fulfil one’s destiny.

To fulfil one’s destiny is to be constant.

To know the constant is to be enlightened.

Not knowing this leads to eternal sorrow.

Being at one with the Tao,

you naturally become impartial...
