Out of curiosity, when you're on the road for cons, do you do any comics-writing-related work? Or is it just all con stuff?

I have to work on the road, or I quickly get behind. This is kind of a pathetic thing to complain about, but sometimes, you have a long trip, like the twenty hours it takes to get to New Zealand, then you have a con, which can be exhausting, and then I stay up most of the night writing. It can be very tiring.

But you have to keep writing or the artist doesn’t have anything to draw and that causes a chain effect. I was writing in my hospital room the day after I almost died on the operating table with my arm in a cast that only allowed me to use one finger. :)
