This was such an inspiring story on your blog. It seems to me that we are really of one heart. I noticed that in your picture you have a gold chain with a cross around your neck. I don't know if you only put it on once in a while or if you wear it all the time. Forty years ago when I got saved I started wearing a cross. To me it was like wearing my wedding ring. Back in the 70s all the Christian women wore crosses, but as the years passed nearly all of them went back to wearing necklaces instead of their crosses. I'm not saying that I didn't desire many times to put aside my gold cross for some attractive costume jewelry to match my outfits, but I never gave in to that temptation. I still faithfully wear my cross every day. I don't think it makes me any more Christian or more holy than anyone else, but I can't imagine being without it anymore than the wedding ring that I have worn for nearly sixty years now. I'm not sure why I am writing this to you, except that when I read your blog, it reminded me of wearing my cross. Thanks for posting this. Blessings!

Dear Jean,I do wear a cross everywhere that I go. Like you, I feel like I can't leave home without it. It is representative of who I am, one of His sheep! I am glad that you shared this with me and also glad that you are my new friend and Sister! As always Jean, "to God be all the glory!" God bless you Sis!
Hi Dave, I too have been awakened in the night more than once in one night and had to write it down to speak to a crowd of family and friends at a loved ones funeral. I normally would never do that as I get too emotional. But I really felt the Lord speaking to me and I was compelled to do it. Thank you for the uplifting testimony. Bambi

As I write this, I ask God to give me the words to express my thankfulness for your message...thankfulness for sharing it with us and again for answering my prayer precisely at a time when I need to hear it the most. I believe that I have heard God's voice a couple of times in my life at times when I asked specifically to hear his words. Not so long ago, I asked the Holy Spirit to show me my Guardian Angel if it was not too much to ask...that I would understand if he would not do that. I was especially needy when I asked that. That weekend, I was doing a small trade show with my boss when a very tall man with the warmest smile and a twinkle in his eye, came to our table to speak to my boss who was sitting next to me. At one point, my boss asked the man, "Where are you staying and we should set up a meeting to talk?" The man smiled back and said, "Oh, I'm not staying...I'm from Heaven and I'm going back tonight! I'm an angel!" He looked at me as he said those words and I'll never forget the sweet brightness in his smile. I didn't process it all in my mind until later when I was saying my nightly prayers and it hit me that he was indeed my Guardian Angel, his name was Seth and he was sent by the Holy Spirit in answer to my prayer. I've had any number of experiences but this is the one that never fades and was so real! Perhaps I was the only one who heard those words and it was the Holy Spirit messaging through this gentleman but I thank Father for making a way for me to speak directly to him as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. How I would love to have a cross to wear for the rest of my days. Not so long ago, I lost my only child and we buried her with a wooden cross that was blessed by the Pope when he visited our city for a youth conference. Thank you God for leading me to this message at exactly the right time this morning.
