This sequel to The Unquiet Bones was just as interesting at the first novel. Hugh de Singleton's wit and humor reign again and keep the reader chuckling. It is very helpful to refer to the glossary as you are reading to learn more information about medieval life. There is a growing romantic interest in this book for Hugh, who has been praying for a wife. He also has contacts with John Wycliffe, who has some trouble in the tale.
