Why Are We Here?

Simple.

To be in service of others.

Whether that be raising your child the best way you can or listening to a homeless man speak about his life or helping an elderly woman walk across the street or rescuing a dog wandering in the middle of the expressway.

These moments signify the human spirit. Signify who we really are.

There is no better reason to live than to exemplify this expression of love.

PS – this has been written in other ways and in many languages throughout the ages. This version came to me just before I went to bed the other night. I felt a need to get up, turn on my lights, turn on my computer, and post it on facebook. I then shut everything off and went to bed.
