1 cup uncooked macaroni
4 Tbl. butter
4 Tbl. all purpose flour
2 cups milk
Salt & pepper to taste
Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain. Melt butter on high in 1 qt. microwave-safe bowl, about 20-30 seconds. Whisk in flour until smoothly blended. Add milk. Microwave on high 1 – 2 minutes (time varies between microwaves), pausing every 30 seconds or so to stir. Sauce should be thick and bubbly.
