My Game of Thrones quiz

I have a new blog up, a Game of Thrones quiz. But as I say at the beginning of the blog, please be careful to avoid SPOILERS for those who are watching the HBO series but have not read the books. In other words, don't cite anything that happens in books three, four, or five! http://sharonkaypenman.com/blog/uiz.

Charlene I don't have HBO so I'm not watching season 3...yet. :( But I read your answers anyway and don't feel too spoiled. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the series. I agree on so many points after seeing seasons 1 & 2 - Catelyn, Cersie, Ned *shakes head*. I'd like to strangle Joffrey. And Jamie - interesting! Tyrion is the best, but I also adore Jon Snow. (Please don't tell me if something bad happens to him.) Still, I can't wait to see season 3.

Sharon Jon is one of my favorite characters, too, Charlene. Master Martin does have a bad habit of ending his books with horrific cliff-hangers. But I am trying to keep the faith that my favorite characters (Tyrion, Jon, Daenerys, etc.) will all survive to the end of the series. If not, I shall put the curse of the cat people on him.

Nicole~ Hi Sharon,
I love the Game of Thrones series, waiting with great patience for Book #6. I concur with your views in your quiz.
@# 4, I too think Joffrey is the most sadistic, the "mad king" as it were, must be those genes born of incest.
@#5, I've always admired Diana Rigg since her days in The Avengers. Brilliant thought of her as Queen Eleanor in her later years! Maybe when your novel "Lionheart" gets optioned :), she might play her? Hint?
@#6 Cersei isn't as smart as she thinks, it's inevitable that her actions will backfire. She is in many ways, for me, quite like Anne Boleyn.
@#8 Yes, I wanted to shake Ned Stark too, until his head fell off......wait a minute... ummm, yep... He didn't play the Game well.
@#9 Naturally, my favorite character from the book is Tyrion. He may be a half man but he's a giant step ahead of most in this series. This role was made for Peter Dinklage and vice versa.
@#10 Love Brienne..she is an honorable and chivalrous knight, a William Marshal in drag.
@#11 My favorite scene in all the seasons so far is the Battle of the Blackwater. I love battle scenes and raining fire on water in HD was just epic. It brought to mind the defeat of the Spanish Armada, without the 'wildfire' of course. Even in that triumph, there might have been less angst had
Elizabeth I and Walter Raleigh had some of that flammable stuff.
Loved your GOT quiz, Thanks!
-Nicole

Sharon I agree, Nicole. The green fire lighting up the night was beyond spectacular!

message 5: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Here I go:

1) Littlefinger closely followed by Tywin Lannister
2) Cersei
3) Jaime
4) Joffrey. The torturer and Gregor Clegane(Mountain)
5) Charles Dance he IS Tywin(brilliant actor)Natalie Dormer(she breathes life into Maegery without making her too sweet) and Jerome Flynn as Bronn(he is funny & chilling-he'd kill anyone for the right price)
6) Cersie and Theon
7)King Robert(Imagine if he'd been a Strong King)
8) Catelyn Stark(some of her decisions Arghhh!)
9) Tyrion
10) Bronn, Brienne and Samwell
11) The expression on Sansa's face at Joffrey's decision & Arya looking up at the sky(Season 1 finale). Whenever Tyrion slaps Joffrey(priceless). When Tyrion is injured and the expression on his face when Shae visits him. And Jaime and Brienne in the bath scene(both scenes so moving)
