Hi Gail... so I was thinking today how The Movement is a team that's predominantly women, AND predominantly people of racial/ethnic/(dis)ability minority and *probably* sexual/gender minority too (so far we know Tremor is ace but not if anyone else is quee

I’m kinda hesitant to make that claim because I am not a comic book scholar, and there may well be a hero team out there somewhere that I don’t know about that has more diversity as a percentage. I don’t know of one, but that doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

I also don’t want to compare various efforts to have more diversity, I am happy that there was a team like, say, the new X-men, when all the teams out there were almost exclusively white.

I am happy we got to make a team that has as much diversity as the Movement has. It makes me happy, I know it makes a lot of readers happy.  That’s what counts to me. I applaud all efforts to broaden the scope of the characters in comics.

I mainly want the characters to be ones people can care about. :)
