To be fair, they have set Shae up as difficult and irrationally jealous.

She’s definitely been presented as a loose canon, moody and emotional. It may be that I’m reading too much of her from the book into the character on the show. But even so, her character just doesn’t add up for me.

It’s as if every bit of her pragmatism has been thrown out the window. She isn’t grounded in any way. She just moves from scene to scene having emotional reactions of no particular force and being soothed by Tyrion. For me, this particular scene felt so stale, so familiar, like it belonged to a lesser show.
