Let there be Steve

I'm delighted to see among ASCAP's Concert Music Awards honorees the furiously hard-working and keen-eared Steve Smith, New York's leading new-music authority and one of the most gifted critics in the country. Many other worthy names appear on the announcement, but Steve deserves a solo bow.
