She didn't know it yet




Life looks different when you view it from different angles.
Seated behind a desk.
Standing on a ladder.
Lying in a coffin.
She was dead and she saw life differently now than when she was alive.
Her body didn’t matter anymore.
Her body was like an old book swollen with humidity, nibbled at by countless insects, faded in the sun.
Death was a gradual winding down.
You weren’t supposed to leave death and go be with the living, but she did.
She managed it somehow.
