CAN HAVE YOUR ATTENTION PLEASE?

This is Ramsey Taylor in,
STARE ME DOWN See I’m not above using some skin to get you to focus. >:) And hey, now that you have I wanted to tell you that those infamous titles in the above title are all names I plucked out of my inbox from readers who have been kind enough to email me their thoughts/reactions to my stories. I ABSOLUTELY love reader emails! They make my day, week – year! Seriously you guys are the reason I write…although, according to a few of you I don’t do that fast enough. *shakes head* Honey is constantly complaining that I spend way too much time at my desk with “my guys”. *Leans in to whisper to you* Between you and me, he’s totally jealous. So my plan to torture him for life is working beautifully.

Anyways, today when I woke up to a phenomenal review for
Required Surrender, I realized I’d been neglecting Jo and Ted. They’re kind of like the middle child syndrome only in book terms. When
Reluctant Surrender came out I was slammed with requests for their story so I wrote it, but then by the time it was released I had four other projects on my desk that needed to be finished so poor Jo and Ted met the world without much fanfare. And now that I’ve stopped to look at where they got to pretty much by themselves, I’m totally blown away. You can click on the awards for a full review or click on the cover for little snippets from each one.
Required Surrender has spent a good bit of time on Amazon’s Top 100 Best Selling Erotic lists in both the US and Canada. It has received 5 out of 5 Stars and chosen as Top Pick on The Romance Review, chosen as staff pick by Are Cafe, Top Pick for Night Owl Reviews, 5 out of 5 Paddles for kink and 5 out of 5 paddles for story with BDSM Book Reviewer’s and yesterday I was notified by them that this one is up for Book of the month for April! Jo and Ted also managed to get their story picked up for audio! How cool is that? To read what reviewers are saying about them just click on the awards.

I am so grateful to all the readers/reviewers who take time out of their busy and book overloaded lives to read my work. I’m not going to lie. It touches me deeply when I hear/read how well my ideas or concepts have been understood. I really, really LOVE IT when a reviewer/reader gets me. I save all the emails I get and put them in a special place…besides my heart, I mean.
I really feel privileged and I still have to pinch myself sometimes. I’ve waited so long for this dream to become a reality and now that it has I’m totally emotional about it. That’s why in my next book I shared something very personal through my hero’s life. It’s just a small part of his history, but it is a reality I lived with for nearly 12 years. I was lucky enough to care for my father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in 2000. We were fortunate enough to be able to care for him at home until he passed in May of 2011 and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t think about him. I didn’t dedicate this book to him because he made me promise I’d do that in the story we brainstormed together one afternoon. It’s a romantic suspense and I’m hoping to write that next year. So yeah, this next one,
Stare Me Down, has a very special place in my heart. I can’t wait to share it with you guys. I LOVE the song that was written specifically for the book video. The video was featured on
USA Today last week!!!
Stare Me Down releases on May 15th!!!!
See? I’m pinching myself again.

Oh, and I’ll be doing a giveaway for this one on
Novelreflections.net May 16th. It’s going to be a lot of fun because I “Spill The Beans” about Honey and our….well, hop on by on the day for a chance to win and learn more intimate stuff about my honey. Heheheh
And
On the 20th I’ll be over at fellow author,
Cassandra Carr’s blog where I’ll be doing another giveaway and also spilling on some really dirty stuff…about Honey, but don’t tell him. He kind of frowns on me opening our bedroom door and letting the world in. *Pauses for a millisecond* do I care about that? Nope. Nah. I’m going to do it anyway.

Hope to see you guys there!!!!
