Jaina Rose Wow, I really like your advice! I want to be an author, but I don't know what else I want to be. I'm thinking either working for a publishing company or being a museum worker - or a librarian, of course. I think most book lovers imagine being a librarian at least once! Anyway, I have a relative who's a scientist, and he has to write lots of grants and papers as part of his job. I think on one hand it's a good way to work on your writing, but on the other hand writing for work all the time (especially the dry, boring, technical stuff grants are made of) might put a damper on your creative writing. It might be better to leave the writing and stories for one "box" in your life, and focus on other interests in your job that won't distract you from your story.

Jaina Rose Thanks! I've been thinking about what I'll do when I'm out of high school, and your post came at just the right time. I'm a huge fan of your books! I've read Princesses of Bamarre like a million times (plus a few more).
