In the Shadows of Heros

I have had the honor and privilege of walking in  the shadows of heroes for the past twenty-five plus years.  I have seen a fifty-two year old police corporal scale a chain link fence and disarm a twenty something year old woman of a nine millimeter pistol before she could commit suicide.   I witnessed a police officer kick in the front door of a burning house and carry a ninety year old lady safely from her smoke-filled home.  I saw a young police officer run up the exterior stairs of a...
