Structure and stories: summer course

This 4 week course will take place in central Manchester in August.

You will study how to structure your work by looking both at short, and long, fiction. Creative works will be used as models, and you will also consider narrative theory and undertake writing practice. You will discover how to craft your work via traditional plots, but also how character, time and voice can impact structure.

Duration: 4 weeks, 2 hours per session. Extras: optional 'aftercare'

Tutor: Dr Sarah Dobbs, author of Killing Daniel

Suitable for all levels of writer, though some experience will be useful
