What is your favorite quote and why? *Beware Rant Inside*

My parents pushed religion on me, when they didn't go. Yes that can create a bitterness in one so young. If I had questions my parents didn't know what I was talking about. I don't know about you but Catholicism can be scary at some points. I was given a choice to follow other religions when I turned 10 which led me to other churches and learn other religions. Which opened my mind to other peoples believes. I have friends who are Buddhist, Catholic, Rastafarian, Wicca, Jewish, Atheist and oh so many others.
Another is Race- I grew up in a town that had me as a minority. Was I treated any different by these people, no, why because we were all low income families. So we totally got what was going on. Yes the richer kids treated us differently, but other then that. I didn't hate based on race. I had friends of many races, and I loved learning about their lives. I also showed them things. One of my friends I introduced to sour cream for the first time, and she went on a sour cream bender. My favorite thing of course was trying the different food and explained how it was prepared. If I had been closed minded I could have followed after some of the Prejudice views that I was raised around, and because I had an open mind I learned a lot.

Another favorite is: A person is a person no matter how small they are.-Dr Seuss. It seems fitting. So if you made it this far what is your favorite quote and why?
